KalmarSpexarna: The Kalmar Nation Spex
The Kalmar Spex has existed in its current form since 2009. For those who aren't familiar with the concept of spex, a “spex” is a comedy theatre written and performed by students. In the spring of 2012 the Kalmarspex became the first spex in Lund's history to be written and performed entirely in English. This is a tradition that has lived on, which contributes to our spex getting bigger and more popular each year. Our spex still is the only one that is consequently entirely in English, which we take huge pride in.
For more information about Spex activities, you can check out their Facebook page! For other questions and tickets, you can reach the foremen in charge at spex@kalmarnation.nu.

Stay tuned on Facebook, Instagram, and here for more information about show dates and how and where to buy tickets.
What to do in Spex?
The Kalmar Spex is always looking for new participants, both actors and musicians to perform during the shows, artists, and other handy people that can help with the backstage props. Regardless of your talents, there is a spot for everyone in the spex!
Traditionally the Spex production is divided into three sections, all working together. Click on each of the categories to learn more, and see if any of them pique your interest.
-
Actors bring the Spex to life on stage. Need an outlet for all that drama? Love attention? Become an actor!
-
Play any instrument? Join the band and help set the mood, provide comic relief, and all-in-all play some sick tunes!
-
The chillest of the three groups, the secret to a good Spex is actually backstage. Whether you wanna make props, design costumes, help with tech, or just hang out and drink tea, join backstage and help the Spex go round!
