Volunteer at Kalmar Nation

Help us out with working!

Voluntering at a nation is the easiest way to get involved in Lund's student life. Kalmar Nation offers many different opportunities to be active! You can work kitchen or bar during pub nights, lunches, or sittinings. You get to meet loads of new people while working on your cooking skills or learning to pour beer like a champion!

We also offer other ways to become active, like our comedy theatre production called Spex, our choir collaboration with Blekingska and Wermlands nations, sports & outdoors events, and non-alcoholic activities. You can even put your art skills to use and help us design posters and other PR! Being active at Kalmar gives you the opportunity to go to special events. Above all, you also become a part of our family!

Want to volunteer for Kalmar Nation? Our foremen regularly post new opportunities to be active in our Facebook Group for volunteers!

Become a Foreman!

We are always happy to welcome new talented students into our foremen family.

Being a foreman has many perks:

  • Learn valuable skills from engagement & volunteering

  • Gain experience to put on your CV!

  • Foreman-only events! Get free events to celebrate your contributions and bond with your fellow foremen, including free sittnings and a free overnight party cabin trip at the end of each semester

  • A green KK card that gets you into all the clubs and pubs of the nations for free!

  • And so many good memories!

You can see a list of our foreman positions below. If there’s something you’d like to try, you can apply for a position by being nominated or by nominating yourself. This is done via a Google form sent out on our Facebook page. If you think you would be great for a position, keep an eye on our Facebook to see which positions are vacant and when the nominations begin. It is usually about 3 weeks before the next nation meeting.

If you have any questions about becoming a foreman, feel free to email our Kuratel for more information.
